Jasveen Sangha, 42, a drug dealer allegedly known as the “Ketamine Queen,” pleaded guilty on Wednesday in federal court to multiple charges linked to the drug-related death of actor Matthew Perry. Sangha admitted her role in supplying the ketamine that ultimately led to Perry’s fatal overdose in October 2023.
The actor, best known for his role as Chandler Bing on Friends, had long been open about his battle with substance abuse. His cause of death was attributed to the acute effects of ketamine.
Sangha pleaded guilty to five federal offenses, including conspiracy to distribute the drug. Her trial had initially been scheduled to begin later this month.
Appearing in court dressed in tan jail attire, Sangha stood beside her attorney, Mark Geragos, and responded “guilty” five times as U.S. District Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett asked for her official pleas. During the hearing, she responded affirmatively to a series of procedural questions, though she hesitated slightly when asked whether she knew the drugs she passed to co-defendant and alleged middleman Erik Fleming were intended for Perry.

As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors dropped three additional charges.
Perry was found unresponsive at his Los Angeles residence by his assistant, Iwamasa. The medical examiner ruled that ketamine, typically used as a surgical anesthetic, was the primary cause of death.
