KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot weather conditions for the city on Sunday, with continued heat and humidity expected over the next 24 hours.
According to the Met Office, Karachi is likely to experience hot, humid and partly cloudy weather during the day. The department said that the maximum temperature may rise up to 36°C.
In the past 24 hours, the minimum temperature recorded in the city was 29.5°C, indicating persistently warm conditions.
Humidity levels were recorded at 66% in the morning hours, adding to the discomfort for residents. At present, southwesterly winds are blowing at a speed of around 23 kilometers per hour.
The Met Office also warned that occasional gusty winds may occur in different parts of the city during the day.
Authorities have advised citizens to take precautionary measures against heat exposure, especially during peak daytime hours, as warm and humid conditions are expected to persist.
