Due to the recent increase in petroleum prices, University of Karachi has decided to conduct morning classes online.
A notification has been issued with the approval of the Vice Chancellor confirming that morning classes will be held online.
According to the notification, the arrangement will take effect from 9 March and will continue until the end of Ramadan.
The decision has been taken in view of possible transport difficulties following the rise in fuel prices and to facilitate students.

As a result of the latest move by the federal government, the ex-depot petrol price has been increased to Rs.321.17 per liter from Rs.266.17 per liter, representing a sharp 17% jump. Similarly, the ex-depot high-speed diesel rate has been fixed at Rs.335.86 per liter for next week.
