The Met Office has predicted that in Karachi today, the overall weather will remain cloudy in the metropolis, with the possibility of light rain in certain areas.
Today, the minimum temperature in the city dropped to 13.5 degrees Celsius, while the meteorological department anticipates the maximum temperature to range between 25 to 27 degrees Celsius. The humidity level stands at 90 percent, and gentle winds are blowing in Karachi, according to the weather department.
As of today, Karachi ranks as the 5th most polluted city globally, with a recorded particulate matter of 212 on the Air Quality Index (AQI). The Meteorological Office had previously forecasted light rainfall in the city for Monday evening or Tuesday morning.
Under the influence of a westerly system passing through Sindh’s coastal belt, Karachi may experience light to medium-intensity rainfall, as predicted by the Met Office. Weather experts expect scattered showers and light rainfall in specific areas of the city during these mentioned days.
Looking ahead, another westerly wave is expected to enter Balochistan on February 2, with a new westerly system in February bringing rainfall to the central and upper parts of Sindh, as indicated by the weather department.
