There has been an exchange of fire between suspects involved in street crime and police in Karachi’s Memon Goth area. Police say they have arrested three suspects.
According to details, three suspects involved in street crimes were arrested during the alleged police encounter. Police stated that weapons and mobile phones snatched from citizens were recovered from the arrested suspects.
It is worth mentioning that in Karachi, on a daily basis, suspects snatch mobile phones, cash, wallets, and other valuables from citizens walking on the road or sitting in vehicles and flee. In many cases, motorcycles or cars of citizens are also snatched.
Street crimes are out of control in the country’s largest city, and every day countless people are deprived of their valuables. Police claim that action is taken against suspects and arrests are made.
However, numerous citizens do not file reports of incidents that happen to them, which is one of the major reasons for the rise in street crimes. Even when reports are registered, in many cases, suspects are not arrested.
