Karachi’s District Central police have arrested 20 suspects during separate operations against criminal elements, illegal Afghan nationals and individuals involved in gambling activities.
The operations were conducted on the directives of SSP District Central Dr Muhammad Imran Khan, with police teams from various stations taking action against suspected offenders.
Police from Sharifabad Police Station arrested three Afghan nationals allegedly residing illegally in Pakistan. The suspects, identified as Ghulam Rasool, son of Ramadan; Muhammad Shafiq, son of Muqeem; and Najeebullah, son of Haji Ghulam Haider, were shifted to Ameen House at Government College of Technology, SITE Area, for further legal proceedings.
At Samanabad Police Station, two more Afghan nationals, identified as Taza Gul, son of Muhammad Umar, and Muhammad Yousuf Khan, son of Akbar Khan, were arrested and transferred for further action.
Police at Hyderi Market Police Station conducted a raid against gambling activities and arrested two alleged gamblers, Zafar Hussain Shah and Muhammad Badal. Authorities also recovered gambling money and registered a case under Section 5/5(A) of the Gambling Act.

Meanwhile, Super Market Police Station carried out multiple operations, arresting four Afghan nationals allegedly residing illegally and five proclaimed offenders and absconders wanted in various cases. Further legal proceedings against the arrested suspects are underway.
At Yousuf Plaza Police Station, four Afghan nationals were arrested and shifted for further legal action.
Police officials said operations against criminals and illegal activities would continue across District Central to maintain law and order in the city.
