A man was critically injured when his wife attacked him with a knife and tried to cut his throat in Baloch Colony, Karachi. A private TV channel reported on Sunday.
Police sources said that later, the wife tried to commit suicide by slitting her own throat. However, she survived.
Sources further revealed that an argumentation took place between the man and his wife after the former expressed his desire for a second marriage.
They went on to say that previously too, both frequently had an exchange of hot words over the same subject.
After having been informed, a police team arrived at the crime scene and shifted the injured husband and wife to Jinnah Hospital. Police registered an FIR and started an investigation into the incident.
