The ongoing gas crisis in Karachi has worsened, leaving residents grappling with the absence of gas even during daytime hours.
Cooking at home has become an increasingly challenging task as many areas report extremely low gas pressure or complete shutdowns.
Residents of New Karachi, Orangi Town, Golimar, Korangi, PIB Colony, and Gulistan-e-Jauhar are among the hardest hit. Reports of negligible gas availability have made life difficult for citizens who rely on natural gas for daily needs.
“We search for gas, but it’s nowhere to be found,” one resident lamented.
Citizens have voiced concerns that they continue to be charged for gas, but don’t get enough of it. Households are forced to turn to costly alternatives like LPG cylinders to meet their cooking requirements. Many residents say this additional expense is putting undue pressure on already stretched budgets.
Frustrated citizens are calling on Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) to take immediate action and ensure an uninterrupted supply of gas.
