Karachi: K-Electric has announced a scheduled maintenance shutdown across multiple feeders in Karachi on Thursday, July 9, 2026, as part of its routine network maintenance program.
The planned outages will affect dozens of areas across the city, with electricity supply remaining suspended for several hours depending on the feeder.
According to the maintenance schedule, most feeders will remain without electricity from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, while some locations have different shutdown timings.
The Police Training Center (PTC) Feeder will be affected from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Labour Flats from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and areas such as New Neham, Turn Style, and NESCOS will experience outages extending into the evening.
The affected areas include Abbasi Market, Adil Murad, Ajmair Garden, Clifton-2, Khayyam Town, Phase-II Malir, Saiban, Urdu College, Saima Arabian Villas-1, Mountain Valley (Saima Arabian Villas-3) and many other localities listed in K-Electric’s maintenance schedule.
K-Electric has advised residents in the affected areas to plan accordingly, noting that the temporary shutdowns are necessary to facilitate maintenance work aimed at improving the reliability and stability of the power distribution network.
