K-Electric (KE) has announced a planned maintenance shutdown across various parts of Karachi on 14 June, with electricity supply set to remain suspended on several feeders and RMUs for scheduled network maintenance and improvement works.
According to the utility’s maintenance schedule, a total of 27 feeders will be affected by temporary power outages of varying durations throughout the day.
The planned shutdowns are part of KE’s ongoing efforts to enhance the reliability and performance of its power distribution network.
Among the feeders facing extended outages from 8:00am to 8:00pm are Ashraf & Co., Golden Harvest and Saleem Industries RMU, while A.M.O Refinery will remain without power from 10:00am to 8:00pm.
Several feeders, including Abdullah More, Azam Basti, Garishon, Hassan Cold, Imad Arif, Industrial Labour Flat, International Ceramic, KH-e-Ghalib Sector-E S/S-1, Lyari Fire Brigade, Murtaza Commercial SS-1, Pumping-1, P-V26 RMU, Saba Cinema and Shama Flour, are scheduled for outages from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
Power supply will also remain suspended on Associated Glass from 9:00am to 7:30pm, while Qandhari Flour and Turn Style are expected to face outages from 9:00am to 6:30pm.
Meanwhile, Nursery and Pak Swiss feeders will remain offline between 9:00am and 6:00pm. Cast Iron, Century Engineering (NCB), Platinum Pharma and PPI are scheduled for maintenance-related shutdowns from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
KE said the temporary interruptions are necessary to facilitate essential maintenance work aimed at improving network stability and ensuring a more reliable electricity supply for consumers.
The power utility advised residents and businesses in the affected areas to plan accordingly and apologised for any inconvenience caused. Consumers have also been encouraged to stay updated through KE’s official channels for any revisions to the maintenance schedule or restoration timings.
