During the course of proceedings to day, the lawyers of PTI chairman Imran Khan had requested to restore his bailable warrants in the case of threatening a female judge. They argued that the life of his client was in danger as he had already escaped an assassination attempt.

The prosecutor, on the other hand, had insisted to issue non-bailable warrants.
Judicial Magistrate Malik Aman reserved the judgement for a short while, which was announced later, rejecting the exemption plea and issuing non-bailable warrants of Imran Khan. He also ordered to produce Khan on April 18.
It may be recalled here that the case of threatening a female judge against Imran Khan was registered on August 20 with Margalla police station in Islamabad over his remarks at a rally in F9 Park where he warned Additional District and Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry and police high-ups of ‘taking action’ for what he called their “biased” attitude towards his Shahbaz Gill, his then Chief of Staff.
He alleged that the session Judge knew that PTI leader Shahbaz Gill was tortured, but she did not release him on bail.
