Karachi reports another death case of Dengue

ISLAMABAD: The Special Assistant on National Health Services, Dr. Zafar Mirza said today on Wednesday that joint anti-dengue efforts to begin from next year as national policy has been formulated.

According to sources, Dr. Zafar revealed that the federal and provincial government will start implementing the devised national policy to eliminate this mosquito-borne disease.
He also added that effective steps were tested in Islamabad and Rawalpindi and satisfactory results were observed.

Earlier on Tuesday, around 247 new dengue cases reported in the last 24 hours in Karachi. The number of dengue cases has reached to 5,000. There are 5,137 cases were reported in the metropolis and total 5,490 in Sindh. At least 22 people have lost their lives due to outbreak of the disease in Karachi in the following year.
