Javed Ahmad Ghamidi’s message on Middle East tensions

Renowned scholar Javed Ahmad Ghamidi has issued a special video message addressed to the Muslim Ummah in light of the prevailing regional situation.

In his address, Ghamidi said he has consistently reminded Muslims for years to understand the far-reaching consequences of the setback they suffered at the time of the World War I.

He stated that following that major global defeat, the affairs of Muslim societies were largely placed in the hands of the victorious powers, and the current international order continues to operate under decisions shaped during that period.

He urged Muslims to express gratitude for whatever stability and opportunity they have been granted by the grace of God, and to focus on internal reform and reconstruction. He emphasised the need for quiet, sustained efforts towards self-improvement, noting that a time eventually arrives when circumstances begin to turn in one’s favour.

Ghamidi further observed that the past two centuries have largely been marked by a history of defeats, adding that this record has recently grown. He expressed hope that lessons would be drawn from these experiences and that a more constructive course of action would be adopted for the future.
