Despite the ceasefire agreement, Israel carried out airstrikes on Gaza, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 100 Palestinians and injuries to more than 100 others, as reported by international media.
Palestine’s Civil Emergency Service, the Israeli military launched 35 airstrikes on Gaza during Suhoor time. As reported by foreign news agencies, the Israeli military targeted three homes in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, along with attacks in Khan Yunis and Rafah.
According to reports, the number of Palestinian martyrs in these attacks has reached 100, including children, while 150 Palestinian civilians have been injured. Since the ceasefire with Hamas began on January 19, these are the largest Israeli attacks to date.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s office stated that after Hamas repeatedly refused to release hostages and rejected all proposed agreements, the Israeli military was instructed to take strong action against Hamas in Gaza.
The Israeli military has stated that the bombings targeted Hamas-related sites in Gaza, while the White House confirmed that the U.S. was consulted regarding the attacks. Meanwhile, Hamas responded to the Israeli strikes, stating that Israel is unilaterally ending the ceasefire agreement.
Hamas officials claimed that Israel has resumed attacks on civilians in Gaza. It is worth noting that in recent days, Israel rejected Hamas’ demand to begin negotiations on the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, under which a permanent ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was to be established.
