LAHORE: Olympian Arshad Nadeem, who won a gold medal in the Commonwealth and Islamic Solidarity Games, has returned home.
Flower petals were showered at the airport to welcome the national hero. According to the details, Arshad Nadeem, who won the gold medal in the Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham, reached the Allama Iqbal International Airport by Turkish Airlines, where he was warmly welcomed. His family members were also present on this occasion.
Olympian Arshad Nadeem’s family, Pakistan Sports Board, Punjab Sports Minister Malik Taimur Masood, DG Sports Tariq Qureshi, and Director Syed Hamir Shah among others warmly welcomed the national hero and congratulated him on winning the gold medal.
On this occasion, bouquets and flowers were also presented to Olympian Arshad Nadeem. Fans gathered outside the airport and showered flower petals on Arshad Nadeem, garlanded him, and danced to the beat of drums.
Talking to media representatives, Arshad Nadeem said, “I am grateful to the people of Pakistan, thank God that I got 2 gold medals today. I also thank the coaches federation for always supporting me.”

Arshad Nadeem appealed to the government to give them world-class training and also provide a separate field for the athletes. Sports Minister Malik Taimur Masood said that Arshad Nadeem made the nation proud. A world-class ground will be built in Mian Chanu, giving full support to the athletes.
It may be noted that earlier Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal for Pakistan at the 2022 Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya, Turkey, in less than a week, Arshad Nadeem won the second gold medal.
After a throw of 79.40 in the first round, Arshad Nadeem, the famous Olympian of the country, threw 88.55 in the second round, which is the highest record throw in the Islamic Games. This was his best throw.
In the next three rounds, Arshad Nadeem threw 75.50, 82.40, and 83.33, but no other athlete could surpass Arshad, so he won the gold medal in these events.
