Well-known businessman Aamir Awan has been killed at his private farmhouse in the upscale area of the federal capital.
In the Margalla Town area under Shahzad Town police jurisdiction, robbers brazenly murdered prominent businessman Amir Awan. The Shahzad Town police have registered a case on the complaint of the deceased’s wife, Safdar Awan.
According to the FIR, Amir Awan was in the bedroom of his farmhouse when the incident occurred. His wife said that upon opening her eyes, she saw three robbers struggling with her husband while two others, armed, were standing outside the room. During this, the assailants fired at Amir Awan, seriously injuring him; he later died in the hospital.
The complainant said the robbers snatched guns and mobile phones from their security guards and fled. Family members can identify the culprits, and CCTV footage reportedly shows the robbers carrying Kalashnikovs.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry said the killers would soon be brought to justice, adding that details would be shared publicly.
He said that previously, 100% of the perpetrators in Islamabad’s murder and robbery cases were apprehended, and those involved in this incident would also be caught, God willing.
Police said the suspects had cut through the protective fencing to enter the farmhouse. Raids are ongoing to apprehend them.
