Following recent US airstrikes on Iran’s key nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, concerns have been raised globally about the risk of radiation leaks.
According to Iran’s nuclear regulatory authority and state media, there have been no signs of radioactive contamination at or around these sites. Radiation detectors reportedly recorded no release of radioactive material after the strikes, and authorities emphasized that there is no danger to residents living near the affected facilities.
Saudi Arabia also confirmed that no radioactive effects were detected in the Gulf region following the strikes.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has also reported no increase in radiation levels following recent US airstrikes on key Iranian nuclear sites, including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
In a brief statement shared on social media Sunday, the UN nuclear watchdog confirmed that “no increase in off-site radiation levels has been reported as of this time.” The agency added that it is closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates as more data becomes available.
