The Minister for Information and Broadcasting has said that Iran has not confirmed its participation in the Islamabad Peace Talks so far.
In a post on social media platform X, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said Pakistan is awaiting confirmation from Iran regarding participation in the Islamabad peace talks, adding that no formal response has yet been received.

He further stated that Pakistan, acting as a mediator, remains in continuous contact with Iranian officials and is actively advancing the process of diplomacy and dialogue.
He added that Iran’s decision on whether to participate in negotiations before the end of the two-week ceasefire is крайне important.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said he does not want any further extension of the ceasefire, expressing confidence that the Iran issue would be resolved through a major deal.
In an interview with a US channel, Trump said, “We are handling matters with Iran very successfully and are in a strong position in the negotiations.”
He added that the blockade of Iran has been effective and warned that the United States does not have much time left on the matter, stating that it is fully prepared to take military action if necessary.
