The conflict involving Iran has caused losses of $186 billion to Arab countries within a month.
Abdallah Dardari, Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations, stated that each day’s delay in a ceasefire is having negative effects on the global economy. He noted that the month-long conflict has led to an estimated 6% decline in the gross domestic product of the Arab region.
According to him, losses in the Eastern Mediterranean region could reach approximately $30 billion.

He further warned that around 3.7 million jobs may be lost across Arab countries, while an additional 4 million people have either fallen or are expected to fall below the poverty line over the past month.
