The Iranian Atomic Energy Organization has confirmed attacks on nuclear sites, sparking concerns about potential consequences, including nuclear radiation in the region.
According to details, the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, in a statement confirming U.S. attacks on nuclear sites, said that the enemy targeted the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites.
The Iranian Atomic Energy Organization stated that the attack on nuclear installations is a violation of international laws and that Iran will not allow the development of its national industry to be hindered.
The organization further stated that despite the U.S. attack on key installations, Iran will continue its peaceful nuclear activities.
It is worth noting that earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump had announced attacks on Iran’s nuclear installations, significantly escalating fears of a spreading war in the region.
On the other hand, Iranian officials stated that the nuclear facilities had already been evacuated prior to the U.S. attacks.
Following the attacks on Iran’s nuclear installations, an Iranian official stated that the enemy’s airstrikes targeted the Fordow nuclear site, and strikes were also carried out near the Isfahan and Natanz nuclear sites.
The Iranian official added that the nuclear facilities had been evacuated before the American attacks, and there was no material at the targeted sites that could have caused any release.
