The Sindh government has decided to provide interest-free loans to students at the Agricultural University Tandojam. The University’s Department of Agriculture has been tasked with developing mechanisms to facilitate these interest-free loans for students.
Sindh Minister of Agriculture Sardar Bakhsh Mehr stated that students who receive agricultural education through these loans could start their own agricultural businesses.
“Climate change has become a significant problem, and its biggest impact is on agriculture,” he remarked.
The Minister also mentioned that the Sindh government has initiated work on the “Hari Card.”
Last year, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari announced the launch of an interest-free loans program in Sindh. He also mentioned that two weeks ago, the Sindh government began a program to grant property rights for building houses. Additionally, Bilawal announced plans to construct cemented houses in areas where dwellings were destroyed by rain and floods.
