SRINAGAR: The Indian troops during cordon and search operations and house raids have arrested more than 15 Kashmiri youth on fake charges in south Kashmir districts.
According to sources, the youths were apprehended on fake charges by the Indian army and they are under their interrogation centers. The families of the detained expressed serious concern over their arrest and demanded their immediate release.
They said that the boys were innocent and Indian troops and police arrest youth to create fear in south Kashmir and weaken the freedom sentiment of the people.
The troops arrested youth includes Imran Ahmed, Irfan Ahmed, Bilal Ahmed, Taufeeq Ahmed, Muzammil Ahmed, Aadil Ahmed and Junaid Altaf in Bijbehra, Shopian and Pulwama areas.
The families urged the United Nations, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch to play their role and stop gross human rights violations and harassment in Jammu and Kashmir by the Indian troops.
Earlier, two Kashmiris had been martyred by the occupying forces in Indian occupied Kashmir in December 2020. According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS), “State terrorism is going on in IoK by the Indian occupying forces. After the martyrdom, there is intense grief and anger in the area while citizens also protested against the Indian occupying army,” it added.
It should be noted that India has been occupying Kashmir for the last 73 years and has so far massacred more than 100,000 Kashmiris. 22,920 women were widowed, more than 1, 07,802 children were orphaned and 11,219 women were degraded.
