In the city of Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, a father brutally slaughtered his 4 children with a sharp instrument and then committed suicide.
According to a report by Geo News on Thursday citing rescue sources, this tragic incident occurred early in the morning in the Swabi area. Before committing suicide, a man named Saif-ul-Islam killed his 4 children.
The report indicates that the murdered children included 2 sons and 2 daughters, aged between 2 to 12 years, identified as 12-year-old Zia, 10-year-old Abdul Rahman, and 8-year-old Sana. A 2-year-old girl was also among the victims.
The local residents state that Saif-ul-Islam worked as a tailor master, and his wife had gone to her parental home due to domestic disputes. The police have collected evidence from the scene and have initiated further investigation into the incident.
Investigating officials stated that this incident appears to be a case of murder and suicide; however, the true reasons behind the incident will only be revealed after the investigation. It is noteworthy that incidents of suicide have increased in various cities across the country, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
