Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was placed on a 14-day judicial remand on Monday in connection with seven new cases.
Imran Khan, currently incarcerated in Adiala Jail, had been arrested by police following his bail in the Toshakhana 2.0 case.
The hearing, presided over by Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Amjad Ali Shah, resulted in the court approving Khan’s judicial remand in the New Town police station case, alongside six other cases.
The court rejected requests for Khan’s physical remand in six cases linked to protests on September 28 and October 5. Instead, it ordered his transfer to judicial custody. Following the decision, Khan was handed over to jail police.
Initially, Khan’s detention in “Cell 4” had been designated as part of New Town police station. With his judicial remand, this designation has now been shifted to Adiala Jail.
Earlier, Imran Khan faced arrests related to six cases involving protests held on September 28, October 4, and October 5.
