ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Imran Khan Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman on Saturday neither refused nor denied meeting Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the presidency amid speculations that the former premier had met an important personality at the President House recently.
“I don’t lie, the PTI chief said during an interview aired on ARY News “And cannot share the truth.”

There had been rumors in circulation that the former prime minister met with General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the presidency last month. Both individuals reportedly found it difficult to come to terms at the meeting, which President Arif Alvi allegedly set up.
Regarding the PTI’s impending march against Islamabad, the PTI chief stated that the march’s date would be revealed in a week. He declared that PTI ally and Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi would aid the group in its march on Islamabad.
The ex-premier explained that he had delayed making the contentious cypher public since the OIC meeting was taking place at the time and it would have been improper to do so.
Khan said it was surprising that the prime minister’s chats, which should be private, were made public in reference to the tape leaks featuring him and PTI leaders. He also made a statement about Maryam Nawaz’s acquittal in the Avenfield case against her and referred to it as a “joke.”
Imran Khan remarked on former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s travel to London for medical treatment during his administration that after Nawaz Sharif left Pakistan, he realized that sending Nawaz Sharif out of Pakistan was a part of a “big game.” Regarding the cases against his political rivals, he remarked, “Unfortunately our legal system is weak as a result, and these guys are benefiting.”
He responded that he had done nothing illegal in the Toshakhana case that was brought against him by the ECP.
