Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan stated that PTI founder Imran Khan has announced the termination of ongoing negotiations with the government.
He mentioned that he, along with other lawyers, had a meeting with Imran Khan, during which the decision to end the talks was made. Barrister Gohar further revealed that the government was given a seven-day deadline to form a judicial commission.
Regarding the talks with the government, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan stated, “We had made it clear that the next round of talks would not proceed if the government failed to announce the commission. Unfortunately, no such announcement has been made by the government to date.”
Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar added, “Negotiations with the government could resume if a judicial commission comprising three judges is formed. In the absence of such an announcement, the negotiation process will end starting today.”
Gohar Ali Khan stated, “The political differences are so intense that no progress is being made. During the meeting, PTI founder Imran Khan said that if the government does not announce the formation of the commission by today’s date, there will be no further discussions.”
