LAKKI MARWAT: At least seven policemen, including a Station House Officer (SHO), lost their lives when their vehicle was struck by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). The tragic event occurred while a squad from the Shadikhel police station was on routine patrol duty in the region.
Reports indicate that terrorists had strategically planted the IED along the Shahdikhel-Mastikhel road specifically targeting law enforcement personnel. The explosion resulted in the immediate deaths of six policemen, comprising the SHO and five constables. Following the attack, the bodies of the fallen heroes, along with the injured, were swiftly taken to the hospital where one of the wounded officers later succumbed to his injuries, elevating the total fatalities to seven.

The martyrs include 1. SHO Azam, 2. Constable Shah Bahram Driver, 3. Constable Shah Khalid, 4. Constable Haji Muhammad ATS, 5. Constable Gulzada ATS, 6. Constable Sakhi Zada ATS and 7. Constable Insafuddin.
The attack has drawn widespread condemnation from top leadership figures. President Zardari, alongside Governor KP Faisal Karim Kundi, and others, expressed their outrage and sorrow over the fatalities caused by the terror attack on the police vehicle in Lakki Marwat, underlining a collective call for justice and greater security measures for law enforcement personnel in the region.
