BENONI: Pakistan beat Afghanistan by 6 wickets in the quarter-final of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup and has qualified for the semifinals.
Muhammad Huraira was the highest scorer for Pakistan side with 64 runs off 76 balls. Qasim Akram and Mohammad Haris remained not out on 25 runs and 29 runs respectively.
Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. Pakistani bowling attack bowled out Afghanistan for 189 runs.
Amir Khan was the highest wicket-taker with three wickets while Fahad Munir bagged two wickets for 29 runs.
Tahir Hussain, Abbas Afridi, Aamir Ali, and Qasim Akram shared a wicket apiece.
