The romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam, starring Mawra Hocane and Harshvardhan Rane, returned to theaters last week after nine years and has already emerged as a success. The film garnered an impressive Rs 8.71 crore in the Indian market, despite being declared a flop upon its initial release in 2016.
Written and directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, and produced by Deepak Mukut, Sanam Teri Kasam follows the poignant love story of Inder, a hardened ex-convict, and Saru, a traditional librarian. Their love leads to marriage, but a tragic turn of events changes their lives forever. The film’s cinematography is by Chirantan Das, with music composed by Himesh Reshammiya. The lyrics are penned by Reshammiya, Sameer Anjaan, Shabbir Ahmed, and Subrat Sinha.
