JAKARTA: The Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) has unveiled the schedule for the upcoming Men’s Hockey Asia Cup, with the first match to take place on May 23 in Indonesia.
The final dates and match schedule of Hero Asia Cup 2022 have been approved by the International Hockey Federation (FIH). The 11th edition of the quadrennial event will take place at GBK Sports Complex Hockey Stadium, Jakarta, Indonesia.
Host nation Indonesia will be participating in Asia Cup for the first ever time and will go head-to-head with India, Pakistan, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Bangladesh and Oman for the title.
Pakistan will play their opening match against the arch-rivals India on May 23 as the two teams are placed in Group A alongside Japan and Indonesia. Whereas, Group B includes Malaysia, Korea, Oman, and Bangladesh.
