Fans of Money Heist may soon return to the world of high-stakes robberies and masked revolutionaries, as Netflix has officially confirmed that “the universe of Money Heist” will continue beyond its existing spin-offs.
The announcement was made on May 9, 2026, during a large promotional event in Seville, where crowds dressed in the show’s iconic red jumpsuits and Salvador Dalí masks gathered to celebrate the franchise’s future.
The reveal immediately sparked speculation among fans about a possible sixth season or a brand-new heist story connected to the original crew.
Created by Álex Pina, the Spanish crime drama became one of Netflix’s biggest global hits after its debut. The story originally concluded with Part 5, ending the Professor’s ambitious journey after the gang successfully escaped with gold from the Bank of Spain.
However, new teaser material released on May 10, 2026, has reignited rumors that Álvaro Morte could return as the Professor for another major operation. While Netflix has not officially confirmed “Season 6,” several online discussions suggest the new project may either continue the original story or introduce a fresh spin-off tied to the aftermath of the gold heist.
The franchise already expanded through successful spin-offs, including Berlin, a prequel centered on fan-favorite thief Berlin, played by Pedro Alonso.

Netflix recently confirmed another chapter titled “Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine,” set in Seville and scheduled for release in May 2026
Known for its thrilling heists, emotional character arcs, and the resistance anthem Bella Ciao, Money Heist remains one of Netflix’s most recognizable global franchises.
