The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast a new westerly weather system, predicting heavy to moderate showers in several cities of the country.
The Met Office announced on Sunday that from February 28 (Tuesday) to March 2 (Thursday), the upper and central areas of the country are likely to see rain and strong winds.
Moreover, it added, snowfall in Islamabad’s mountains is also anticipated. While Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, Murree, and Galiat could also see comparable meteorological conditions.

The meteorological department has also issued an alert to all concerned institutions, stating that under the new system, there will be thundershowers in Potohar and the Gujranwala region, including Islamabad.
