ISLAMABAD: Due to heavy rains in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, roads and streets began to look like ponds as rainwater entered the houses.
According to details, due to today’s rain in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the citizens are facing difficulties in transportation. Roads and Sector H13 have accumulated several feet of water.
In both cities, rainwater seeped into homes and offices in residential areas. Three vehicles sank due to flooding on Chungi Motorway No. 26. The Meteorological Department has forecast more rains.

After the rains in Rawalpindi, the water level in Nala Lai rose. The water flow at Kataria has been recorded at 12 feet while at Gawalmandi bridge it has been recorded at 9 feet. Pakistan Army was called in to deal with the emergency.
Pakistan Army troops reached the spot. Rescue personnel is also present at Gawalmandi on Nala Lei. Rawalpindi Islamabad has recorded 76 mm of rainfall so far.
