Shocking footage has emerged from Karachi’s Super Highway, Faqira Goth, showing a four-year-old boy falling into an open manhole while passersby reportedly did nothing to save him, capturing the tragic incident on camera instead.
According to reports, the boy, identified as Ahsan, was walking home when he accidentally fell into one of four uncovered manholes on the road in the Industrial Area police jurisdiction.
Footage, apparently made by an onlooker, shows the child navigating the street carefully, with large stones placed around the open manholes, before stepping into the second uncovered manhole, leading to his death.
The video captures several pedestrians and a motorcyclist passing by the scene. The motorcyclist even turned back, looked into the manhole for a few seconds, but made no attempt to alert others or rescue the child, continuing on his way without offering assistance.
Ahsan had gone missing on Sunday evening. His family searched extensively, but no trace was found until Monday, when his body was recovered from the open manhole. Police suspect that the child accidentally fell while playing.
