Heart attacks have increased alarmingly in Pakistan; 55% of deaths from diseases are due to heart conditions, as reported by national media on Saturday.
According to recent research, more than half of the deaths from diseases in Pakistan are due to heart disease. The CEO of DRAP rejected the impression that heart attacks have increased because of the corona vaccine, while also warning not to take any minor illness lightly.
CEO DRAP Dr. Obaidullah said that some diseases act as silent killers. Blood pressure and diabetes are among them. Liver and kidney diseases only become apparent when our organs have already been affected up to 90%. All these factors together cause heart attacks. A professor collapsed while teaching, which some people are linking to the COVID vaccine, but this is not correct.
Dr. Akhtar Bandesha, a cardiology specialist, said that when a heart attack occurs, it is of two types. One is that there is pain inside the chest, the person is taken to the hospital. The second is that instead of stopping, the heart starts fluttering, due to which blood pressure drops, the person collapses, and then the heart is pumped with fists or a defibrillator, and it starts working again.
According to experts, by avoiding fatty foods and tobacco use, and making exercise a routine, the risk of heart attack can be reduced.
