In a recent Israeli airstrike on Syria, Hassan Jafar Qassir, the son-in-law of Hezbollah’s former chief Hassan Nasrallah, has been martyred.

According to Arab media, Hassan Jafar was a senior member of Hezbollah and the brother of Mohammad Jafar Qassir, the commander of Unit 4400, a significant position within the group.

The attack occurred shortly after Hassan Jafar had arrived in the Syrian capital. His brother, Mohammad Jafar, was also martyred in an Israeli airstrike just a day prior. Israel has alleged that Mohammad Jafar was responsible for transporting military weapons from Iran, with whom he maintained close ties.

Syrian state television reported that the Israeli airstrike targeted a residential building in Damascus, killing three individuals and injuring three others.

The victims’ identities were not immediately disclosed.

This incident follows a pattern of Israeli airstrikes in the region. In January this year, a similar attack in the same area led to the martyrdom of the intelligence chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, along with his deputy.
