Netflix’s British supernatural detective series ‘Lockwood & Co’ has been cancelled just after one season.
Based on Jonathan Stroud’s young adult novels of the same name, the series debuted on Netflix in January 2023.
The eight-episode British detective thriller series is based on a fictional version of the United Kingdom, where the living shut themselves behind iron-bolstered doors and the dead roam the streets.
Amongst hordes of corporate agencies that neutralize ghosts, Lucy, George and Lockwood form a ragtag agency of their own known as Lockwood & Co. Together, they team up to hunt ghosts and destroy their source of power.

The show turned out to be one of the popular shows of the year but not enough to get it renewed for a second season. In a statement, Complete Fiction said making the show had been “one of the most rewarding experiences of our careers” and thanked Netflix, Stroud, and the show’s cast, crew and fans – whom they namechecked as the Lock Nation – for helping them bring the books to life and embracing the series.
Season one of Lockwood & Co is now available to stream on Netflix.
