MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi says the government has launched economic diplomacy and all missions abroad have been directed to accelerate their efforts to bring investment in Pakistan.
Addressing various functions in Multan on Sunday, he said foreign investment in Pakistan will help in strengthening economy and reducing unemployment in the country.
The Foreign Minister said the government is well aware of the difficulties and problems of the masses.
He said Ehsaas Programme, employment program, health cards and other welfare programmes are proving helpful in providing relief to the poor segments of society.

In his visit to UAE in April, earlier this year, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had said that Pakistan’s economic diplomacy is yielding positive results despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
Addressing at the Iftar dinner hosted by Pakistan Business Council Dubai in Dubai Qureshi had said that through economic diplomacy, Pakistan is diverting the attention of the foreign investors and businessmen towards the enormous business opportunities in Pakistan.
The foreign minister had said that the purpose of his visit to the UAE is further enhancing the bilateral trade relations and cooperation in various sectors. “Welfare and resolution of the issues of expatriate Pakistanis is among the top priorities of the incumbent government,” the Foreign Minister added.
