The federal government has decided to constitute two-member medical board for the examiniation of the eye of PTI founder Imran Khan.
The medical board comprising Dr Amjad and Dr Nadeem Qureshi is expected to visit Adiala Jail Rawalpindi today to review the eye of the former prime minister.
The decision regarding the shifting of Imran Khan to hospital will be made on the recommendation of the medical team.
PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has said that government has agreed to shift PTI founder to Al Shifa International Hospital.
Salman Raja said that “we have been told that the government is willing to take the founder of PTI to Shifa International and a member of the founder’s family will also be allowed to meet him”.
Salman Raja said that “it is the right of the founder of PTI to get proper treatment, there should be no delay in this”.
Earlier, Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said on Saturday that the eye examination of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan will be conducted by specialists in ophthalmology at a specialised medical institution.
Taking to his social media account on X, Federal Information Minister said that all detailed of former prime minister’s checkup and tests reports will also be submitted to the Supreme Court.
The federal minister advised the opposition to avoid speculation as such attempts to give the matter a political colour. Earlier, Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan confirmed today that PTI founder was allowed to speak to his sons for 20 minutes.
Aleema Khan, confirmed the development in a message posted on X. She said Imran Khan was very happy after hearing the voices of his children.
