Google Wallet, formerly known as Google Pay, is gearing up to launch its operations in Pakistan.
This digital wallet enables users to store and manage various documents and payment methods on Android devices, including loyalty cards, boarding passes, tickets, and payment cards.
It supports quick, contactless payments at compatible Point of Sale (POS) terminals, simplifying transactions for users. Beyond payments, Google Wallet acts as a centralized hub for digital credentials and passes.
According to TechJuice.pk, which cited leaked developer notes, Pakistan is among the countries slated to gain access to this innovative digital wallet and payment solution. However, Google has yet to issue an official announcement regarding the rollout.
The leaked information also reveals that Google Wallet will soon expand to other countries, such as El Salvador, Egypt, Venezuela, Bermuda, and Cambodia, among others. This global expansion highlights Google’s commitment to making its digital wallet accessible to millions of users worldwide.
