Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Friday, mirroring the upward trend in the international market.
In the domestic market, the price of gold climbed by Rs10,700, pushing the per-tola rate to Rs454,262.
The price of 10-gram gold also saw a notable increase, rising by Rs9,174 to settle at Rs389,456, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Thursday, the per-tola price had inched up by Rs500 to reach Rs443,562.
Globally, gold surged by $107, reaching $4,319 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
Silver prices also moved higher, gaining Rs232 to reach Rs6,684 per tola.
It should be noted that the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) releases official gold rates at around 1 PM from Monday to Saturday.
