On Friday, July 18, 2025, a significant increase was observed in gold prices in Pakistan, reflecting changes in the international market as reported by national media.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs. 2,500, bringing the new rate to Rs. 357,600. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs. 2,143, reaching Rs. 306,584.
It is worth noting that just a day earlier, on Thursday, the price of gold had decreased by Rs. 900, bringing the per tola rate down to Rs. 355,100.
An increase in gold prices was also recorded internationally, where the price per ounce rose by $25, reaching $3,351. This includes a $20 premium, as reported by the Sarafa Association.
Along with gold, an increase in silver prices was also recorded. The price of silver per tola rose by Rs. 48 to reach Rs. 4,012.
Two days ago, a downward trend was observed in global gold markets, the effects of which were clearly reflected in Pakistan’s local Sarafa markets.
All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association stated that a decline in the value of gold in the international market led to a decrease of Rs. 900 per tola in the local market.
