Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Friday, mirroring the upward trend in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola went up by Rs3,000 to settle at Rs497,662.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs2,572, bringing it down to Rs426,664, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

On Thursday, gold prices had fallen, with the per tola rate decreasing by Rs9,500 to reach Rs494,662.
In the global market, gold prices increased by $30 per ounce, settling at $4,753, which includes a $20 premium.
Meanwhile, silver prices also saw an increase, gaining Rs130 to Rs8,014 per tola.
