KARACHI: The domestic bullion market witnessed a mild correction on Saturday as both gold and silver prices edged lower, following consecutive sessions of sharp increases earlier this week.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24‑karat gold per tola fell Rs1,100 to Rs439,836, while 10 grams of 24‑karat gold declined Rs943 to Rs377,088. The 22‑karat gold per 10 grams was quoted at Rs345,676.

Silver also retreated, with 24‑karat silver per tola slipping Rs48 to Rs6,716, and 10 grams of silver easing Rs42 to Rs5,757.

In the international market, gold dipped $11 to $4,174 per ounce, while silver shed $0.48 to $62.37 per ounce.

Analysts said the pullback reflects profit‑taking after Friday’s sharp surge, with global investors reassessing inflationary risks and currency movements.

For local consumers, the slight relief offers some respite after steep increases, though prices remain historically high. Traders noted that volatility is likely to persist as international markets remain sensitive to economic data and geopolitical developments.
