Gold prices in Pakistan on Friday surged as the price of yellow metal reached Rs351,000 after it gained Rs3,500 per tola in the local market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs3,000, reaching Rs300,925.
This follows a decline in the gold price per tola on Thursday, which fell by Rs1,900 to settle at Rs347,500 by the end of the trading day.
Gold prices also surged in the international market on Friday. The global rate climbed by $35 to reach $3,326 per ounce, including a premium of $20, as reported by the APGJSA.
In a similar trend, the domestic price of silver also increased. Silver per tola rose by Rs38, bringing the new rate to Rs3,466.
