Gold prices have surged to record highs in both Pakistan and international markets.
In Pakistan, the price of gold increased by Rs2,500 per tola, reaching an unprecedented Rs304,000—the highest in the country’s history.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the rate for 24-carat gold rose by Rs2,144, bringing the price to Rs260,631 per 10 grams. Similarly, 22-carat gold saw an increase of Rs1,965, reaching Rs238,920 per 10 grams.
Silver prices also climbed, rising by Rs47 to Rs2,886 per 10 grams.
On the global market, gold prices increased by $25 per ounce, reaching $2,913. Silver prices also saw an upward trend, gaining $0.55 per ounce to settle at $32.55.
