In Murree, rainfall and snowfall persisted, prompting the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to issue alerts. The PDMA warned of continued rain and snowfall over the next 24 hours. Although traffic disruptions were expected, efforts to prevent accidents included spreading salt on the roads.
PDMA Director General Irfan Ali Kathia directed the Murree administration to stay alert, clear snow using heavy machinery, and ensure the smooth flow of traffic. He emphasized the need to provide necessary facilities for tourists and prevent any incidents.
To assist visitors, thirteen facilitation centers were set up, and the public was urged to check weather updates before traveling. Snowfall also started in Shogran, a popular tourist spot, where two vehicles got stuck on the snowy Shogran Road. The Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) promptly rescued the vehicles, and snow removal operations continued to support both tourists and locals.
