Four tourist friends from the Gujrat district of Punjab have gone missing while traveling from Gilgit to Skardu, their families reported to officials, while police have requested assistance in locating the missing youth.
As per details, Suleman, Asif Shehzad, Umar Ehsan, and Usman had reached Gilgit and Hunza a few days earlier in a white Honda Civic, bearing license plate ANE 805, Islamabad.
The tourists made the final contact with their families on the night of May 15, when they departed from Gilgit for Skardu.

According to their families, the last phone contact with the group occurred near the Danyor area. One of the missing individuals had informed his family that they were en route to Skardu. Before that, they had stayed at Mohsin Lodge and departed for Skardu on the morning of May 16. Since then, their mobile phones have been switched off, and they have not made any contact with relatives or friends.
However, police said the car did not pass through any of the security checkpoints along the route.
The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Gilgit, Zahoor Ahmed, confirmed that police have expanded the search operation.
Authorities have alerted all checkpoints along the Gilgit-Skardu route, as well as the Special Branch and local police stations; however, officials have not yet found any leads.
Police sources reported that even after checking at various posts, including the Dambudas checkpoint, there was no sign of the vehicle.
