LAHORE: Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) head curator Haji Bashir Ahmed has passed away due to a heart attack on Wednesday.
As per details, Haji Bashir prepared the pitches of most of the Test centers across the country. He served PCB for over 50-years.
On a social media website Twitter, PCB expressed sadness and offered condolences to his family and friends. The Cricket fraternity also shared grief for the departed soul.
“The PCB is saddened by the news of the passing of Haji Bashir Ahmed, former head curator. The PCB offers its condolences to the friends and family,” PCB said.

His several Players, including Majid Khan, Hanif Mohammad, Imran Khan, Javed Miandad, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Vivian Richards and other world stars played cricket on wickets prepared by Haji Bashir. After retiring from PCB, Haji Bashir was serving in Lahore Qalandars High-Performance Center.
On the news of Haji Bashir’s death, the famous cricketer Muhammad Hafiz said, “Sad news, very nice & Kind he was always. May Allah bless him Jannah Aameen. Condolences to his family”.
