ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: Flight operations in Lahore and Islamabad have been disrupted due to road closures and traffic congestion, the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) confirmed on Friday.
According to a PIA spokesperson, several flights are facing delays as crew members are struggling to reach airports amid traffic disruptions.
In light of the situation, PIA has issued a travel advisory, urging passengers to check flight status updates before leaving for the airport and to plan their journeys well in advance.
“Travellers are advised to leave for the airport at least four to five hours before their scheduled departure time,” the airline said.
The national flag carrier has apologised for the inconvenience caused to passengers, assuring that efforts are underway to minimise disruption and resume normal operations as soon as possible.
